Working groups are comprised of Alliance members and shape Alliance programs, policies, and resources. The groups provide core expertise and guidance to the Alliance and its members through commissioned research, white papers, policy recommendations, and best practices.

Vice President of Publisher Solutions
Laura Buchman is the Vice President of Publisher Solutions at OpenX and a 20-year veteran of the digital media and telecommunications industries. Before joining OpenX, Laura served as Vice President of Business Development at Mojiva where she led publisher acquisition and development of the Mojiva mobile ad network as well as overseeing the strategic partnerships with the company’s exchange, data and demand partners. Under Laura’s leadership the Mojiva mobile ad network scaled to cover over 1 billion devices while doubling revenue. In addition, her organization launched the industry’s first tablet-only mobile advertising network scaling to reach 700 million tablets within the first 3 months of inception.
Vice President Strategic Alliances
Yoko was Smaato’s second US employee and responsible for setting up the infrastructure of their US office in San Francisco. As VP Strategic Alliance she is responsible for business development and account management of key accounts on both the Demand and Supply sides of the business. Prior to Smaato, she headed up Business Development for Drummond Group, a software testing and certification company as well as at Intershop, a pioneering eCommerce software provider where she was part of the core team setting up their APAC operations.

A passionate and energetic technology marketing executive and general manager that thrives in driving successful emerging technology initiatives, startup ventures and new businesses. Possesses in-depth knowledge in brand marketing strategy, product concept development, and revenue growth of commercial offerings in a startup environment or enterprise organization. Expertise in mobile technology, mobile app economy, SW, SaaS and PCs.
Director of Analytics
Jarah is responsible for supporting Flurry Analytics customers, ensuring they fully leverage Analytics to help drive business and product decisions. Prior to Flurry, Jarah was a strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group where she focused on the Technology, Media and Telecom practice. Before BCG, Jarah founded and sold Famous Media, a network of hyper local content websites. She began her career as a debt trading analyst with Bank of America Securities.
Director of Business Development
Drew is the Director of Business Development for Happtique. He also serves as Staff Counsel at GNYHA Ventures where he provides legal services to all of GNYHA’s healthcare businesses, including group purchasing contracting, litigation support, corporate filings, consulting, and outsourcing contracts.
David A. Collins, MHA, CPHQ, CPHIMS, FHIMSS, joined HIMSS in July 2005, and currently serves as Senior Director, mHIMSS, a platform to convene, educate, and engage the mobile ecosystem. Previously, David served as Senior Director, Professional Development, with strategic oversight of HIMSS Annual Conference planning and HIMSS specialty programming; Director, Healthcare Information Systems, managing the HIMSS Davies Awards of Excellence Program and the Patient Safety & Quality Outcomes Committee (PS&QO); and Manager, Ambulatory Information Systems.
Usability Division Chief
Andy Schaudt is the Usability Division Chief for the National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare. He has significant management experience in usability, safety, human-computer interaction, and human-factors engineering, having been a principal investigator (PI), co-PI, and/or project manager on more than $5.95 million of contracted research. For the Center, he plans, coordinates, and manages the projects, programs, and daily operations for the Usability Division, which is chartered to conduct medical device and health IT usability evaluations, both for the industry and for MedStar Health.

Senior Director of National Alliances
Emma Nothmann is the Senior Director of National Alliances for Edmodo, the leading social learning platform for the K-12 classroom. In this role she has led the strategy and development of Edmodo's store as a distribution channel for digital educational content direct to the classroom. Prior to joining Edmodo, Emma built and led the North American Education Practice for Booz & Company, a global management consulting firm. She led the firm's cohort training and diversity initiatives and was selected to participate in the inaugural class of the Pipeline Fund Fellowship, a program to train women to become angel investors.
Mobile Developer Evangelist at PayPalX Developer Network
Praveen is the architect for the Developer Products at PayPal helping in building the next generation APIs, tools and resources for external developers. Before that, he was the lead evangelist for eBay Inc. running the developer evangelism and tools organization at X.commerce to help developers learn, build and use the PayPal, eBay and X.commerce platforms, a systems architect for identity and authentication at Amazon, and earlier he did the same at AOL. Praveen has long been a proponent of open standards, and has been a big supporter of grassroots efforts such as OpenID and Oauth.
Senior Public Policy Manager and Counsel
Melissa serves as the Senior Public Policy Manager and Counsel at Intuit, whose Partner Platform enables developers to create new innovative applications for small businesses and consumers by providing access to powerful data and platform APIs for mobile payments and payroll systems. She has over 10 years experience working on legislative and regulatory policy within the financial services industry. This includes work within a number of Executive Branch agencies, corporations, and trade associations.
