Alliance Committed to Building Privacy Consensus through NTIA Multi-Stakeholder Process
Washington, D.C. (January 10, 2013) – Today, Application Developers Alliance President Jon Potter thanked California Attorney General Kamala Harris for her thoughtful guidelines for app developers in Privacy on the Go: Recommendations for the Mobile Ecosystem.
"We appreciate the California Attorney General's thoughtful recommendations on mobile app privacy. App developers are committed to ensuring consumers know what information apps are collecting and how it is being shared. The Alliance is focused on working with consumer advocates to build consensus on mobile app privacy through the multi-stakeholder process convened by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration. We’re hopeful an agreement can be reached that protects consumers while promoting innovation,” said Alliance President Jon Potter.
