Application Developers Alliance Sponsoring Distilled Intelligence 2.0

Tech Startups Will Compete for $100,000 from Fortify.vc

Washington, D.C. (September 19, 2012) – The Application Developers Alliance has announced its sponsorship of Distilled Intelligence 2.0. During the two-day conference, which will be held October 11-12, 2012 in Washington, D.C., tech startups from across the globe will compete for $100,000 from Fortify.vc.

Since last year’s inaugural conference, Distilled Intelligence 1.0, participating companies have secured more than $27 million in funding and have created hundreds of jobs. The Alliance expects that this year’s participants will have equal success.

“We applaud the Fortify.vc team and their initiative to support bold ideas and the innovators behind them. The success of last year’s Distilled Intelligence participants is impressive. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to help encourage the kind of entrepreneurial spirit that drives the apps industry and the larger tech economy,” said Jon Potter, Alliance President.

The Conference will be held at the Carnegie Library in Washington D.C., located at 801 K Street NW from Thursday, October 11 through Friday, October 12. Startups can apply to enter here. The deadline for entry is September 21.

Students are encouraged to attend for the chance to meet and learn from local entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs will have the chance to network with one another and with the event’s sponsors.

In addition to Fortify.vc, the Alliance joins Microsoft, BDO, Speaker Box, Hamilton Insurance Agency, Arlington, Virginia, DC Events, Cooley LLP, One City, and CRESA in sponsoring the DI Conference.
