Boston, MA (May 23, 2012) – Application Developers Alliance President Jon Potter served as host for the Imagine App Challenge finals today as part of NCTA’s The Cable Show 2012.
The Alliance partnered with NCTA to organize the challenge, which tasked students across the nation with building an app to leverage the power of broadband.
After 48 hours spent coding, the student developer teams emerged to demonstrate the apps they created to a panel of judges including Mark Hess of Comcast, Rebecca Rusk Lim of Turner Broadcasting System, Jim Lucchese of The Echo Nest, and Matt Powers of Applico.
Teams from MIT, Stanford, Rutgers, Wellesley and Pace competed, with the Stanford team taking first place. The Alliance congratulates all of the students who participated.
